Elimination communication

Have you ever heard of Elimination Communication? No? Don’t feel bad. I hadn’t until tonight. Parents (okay, mothers) “try to recognize and respond to babies’ bodily needs and enable them to urinate and defecate in an appropriate place (e.g. a toilet). Caregivers either use diapers as a back-up in case of misses, avoid the use of them altogether, or do a mixture of the two. EC emphasizes communication between the caregiver and child.” (This is from Wikipedia. I’m sure there is a way to link it. I’m sure you’ll figure it out.)

“Appropriate place?” How about a diaper? My kid tells me he has to poo by the SMELL in his DIAPER! No EC for me.
